Designed as a concept for a fictional wellness practice, Lana Riley showcases a clean, modern approach to web design for service-based businesses. Goal
Design a modern, responsive website concept for a therapist or wellness coach that communicates trust, warmth, and professionalism. The objective was to create a calming digital experience that guides visitors naturally from learning about the practitioner to booking a consultation.
Opportunity
Many wellness websites rely on generic templates or text-heavy layouts that can feel overwhelming or impersonal. This project was an opportunity to explore how intentional UX, thoughtful visual design, and clear information hierarchy can create a more welcoming experience for users seeking support

Market Research
I began by researching websites for therapists, wellness coaches, and holistic health professionals to understand common user expectations and design patterns. Many sites relied on large blocks of text or cluttered layouts, making it difficult for visitors to quickly understand the services being offered. These observations helped shape a cleaner, more approachable experience centered around clarity and trust.
Information Architecture
Before designing the interface, I organized the site's content into a logical user journey. The goal was to answer visitors' most important questions in a natural sequence—introducing the practitioner, highlighting services, building credibility through testimonials, and providing clear opportunities to book a consultation. This structure helps reduce cognitive load while making navigation feel effortless.
Visual Exploration
The visual direction focused on creating a calm, welcoming atmosphere through soft neutral colors, natural imagery, generous white space, and refined typography. I explored several layout options before settling on a design that balanced elegance with readability, allowing the content to remain the primary focus.
Responsive Refinement
Using Wix Studio's responsive design tools, I refined the layout across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints. Typography, spacing, image scaling, and component placement were adjusted to ensure a consistent experience regardless of device while maintaining strong visual hierarchy throughout the site.
Final Design
The completed website demonstrates a polished, responsive experience that blends aesthetics with usability. Designed as a flexible concept, the final product showcases a scalable visual system and intuitive page structure that could easily be customized for a variety of wellness professionals while maintaining a strong focus on user experience.
